Drone Drug-Smuggling Attempt Thwarted by Southern Military Zone

Amman: Southern Military Zone troops foiled a dawn attempt Wednesday to smuggle in a quantity of narcotics by a drone on its western front within its area of responsibility. Border guard forces, in coordination with security agencies and the Anti-Narcotics Department, spotted the aircraft, applied the rules of engagement, and shot it down inside Jordanian territory. The items seized were referred to competent authorities.

According to Jordan News Agency, the coordinated efforts of border guard forces and various security agencies played a crucial role in intercepting the drone.
