Education Minister Visits Students and Teachers After Chemical Leak in Amman School

Amman: Minister of Education Azmi Mahafza visited teachers and students on Sunday following a chemical leak that caused respiratory distress in a private school's science lab in Amman earlier in the day. Mahafza emphasized the Ministry's commitment to monitoring the ongoing investigations to ascertain the cause of the incident.

According to Jordan News Agency, Mahafza urged all schools to strictly follow public safety procedures in laboratories and implement appropriate protocols for handling chemicals. His advice aims to ensure the safety of both students and teachers in educational environments.

Furthermore, Mahafza praised the Civil Defence Department's personnel for their prompt response and efficient management of the situation. Their swift actions in providing first aid, safely evacuating the affected individuals, and professionally handling the incident were crucial in containing the situation quickly.
