Cairo: Egypt has condemned the recent Israeli raids inside Syria, labeling them as a dangerous escalation and a blatant violation of Syria's sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity. The raids have sparked concerns over increasing tensions in the region.
According to Jordan News Agency, the Egyptian Foreign Ministry released a statement denouncing the Israeli actions as a continuation of a policy aimed at imposing new realities on the ground. The ministry expressed concern that these actions demonstrate a determination to further inflame tensions in the already volatile region.
The statement urged international players and the UN Security Council to take decisive action against what it termed as recurring Israeli violations. It called on these bodies to hold Israel accountable for its "irresponsible" policies. Furthermore, it appealed for concerted efforts to pressure Israel into ending its occupation of Syrian territory and to ensure compliance with international law.
