Ministry of Foreign Affairs welcomed Friday 4/10/2024 the support shown by the UN Security Council members for UN Secretary-General António Guterres following a "malicious campaign" by Israel and its declaration of the UN chief as a Persona non grata. In a statement, the ministry reiterated Egypt's full support and solidarity with Guterres, highlighting that he has consistently upheld, throughout his career, the UN Charter and the noble principles and values that call for respect for international law, humanitarian law, and the right of self-determination. The ministry also hailed the conspicuous role played by Guterres in supporting international peace and security, referring to his inspiring moral stances which he sincerely defended with full conviction. Building Licenses Rise 3.2% in First Half of 2026
