Shreveport: Eight children were killed and two others wounded in a "large-scale" mass shooting in Shreveport, Louisiana, U.S. police said on Sunday, adding that the suspected gunman was also killed.
According to Jordan News Agency, a police spokesperson in Shreveport said officers responded to a report of a family dispute earlier in the day. The spokesperson described the crime scene as "extensive," spanning two homes in the area and a third residence on a nearby street.
Ten people were shot in the incident, including eight children aged between one and 14 who died, the spokesperson said. The suspect allegedly stole a vehicle near the scene before being pursued by police patrols, who shot and killed him during the chase.
