Emergency Arab-Islamic Summit in Doha Condemns Israeli Strike and Declares Full Support for Qatar

Doha: The Emergency Arab-Islamic Summit, convened in response to Israel's targeting of residential areas in Doha, Qatar, concluded with a strong condemnation of the attack and a declaration of unwavering solidarity with Qatar.

According to Jordan News Agency, the summit, which brought together leaders from the Arab League and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, was organized under the chairmanship of Qatar's Emir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani. The leaders expressed gratitude for Qatar's hospitality and reaffirmed their commitment to the principles of the Arab League, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and the United Nations Charter, particularly emphasizing the prohibition of force against a state's territorial integrity.

The summit's final statement highlighted the importance of Arab-Islamic solidarity in the face of external threats and reiterated support for the Palestinian cause. It condemned the Israeli attack on September 9, 2025, which targeted a residential neighborhood in Doha, resulting in casualties and injuries. The leaders described the attack as a violation of Qatar's sovereignty and a threat to regional and international peace.

The summit also welcomed the UN Security Council's emergency meeting, which condemned the Israeli attack and expressed solidarity with Qatar. The leaders criticized the lack of international accountability for Israel's actions and called for measures to prevent further aggression. They emphasized the need for a collective response to protect regional security and stability.

The summit's resolutions included affirming support for Qatar, condemning Israel's unlawful actions, and rejecting any attempts to justify the aggression. The leaders commended Qatar's mediation efforts in the region and called for international support to halt the aggression against Gaza. They also stressed the importance of adhering to international law and the Arab Peace Initiative to achieve lasting peace in the Middle East.
