Amman: Minister of Social Development and Chairwoman of the National Aid Fund (NAF), Wafa Bani Mustafa, emphasized that the ministry prioritizes economic and social empowerment programs as part of its mission. These initiatives are designed not just for financial assistance but also to provide professional, psychological, and social support, with the aim of assisting families in building a sustainable future.
According to Jordan News Agency, Bani Mustafa's comments were made during a graduation ceremony she attended for 32 women who completed a technical machine embroidery course. This training was provided by the Apparel Design and Training Services Center and represents a significant advancement in the ministry's economic and social empowerment efforts.
The course is one of seven training programs organized across different governorates, benefiting over 215 individuals through a collaboration between the NAF and the Apparel Design Center. Bani Mustafa emphasized that training beneficiaries of the Fund opens avenues for small-scale projects and income-generating activities. These programs are instrumental in improving the economic conditions of the trainees, enhancing their roles within their communities, and providing a stable income for their families. She urged the graduates to continue honing their skills and to become active agents of change in their communities, marking a transition from reliance to productivity and initiative.
Ihab Al-Qaderi, Chairman of the Apparel Design and Training Services Center, commended the partnership with the Fund, noting that the course is among the most advanced in machine embroidery technologies.
NAF Director General Khitam Shneikat highlighted the Fund's strategy of delivering high-quality economic empowerment programs which aim to improve beneficiaries' capacity to join the labor market and start income-generating ventures.
Hassan Nsour, Director of the Apparel Design and Training Services Center, stated that the Center is committed to continuously upgrading its training offerings to provide participants with specialized skills in sewing and machine embroidery.
