EMRC Receives 960 License Applications in February

Amman: The Energy and Minerals Regulatory Commission (EMRC) has announced that it received a total of 960 license applications across multiple sectors during the month of February.

According to Jordan News Agency, data published on the commission's website on Tuesday detailed the distribution of these applications. The report revealed that 202 applications were submitted for the Kingdom's radiation and nuclear sector, while 15 applications were intended for the electricity and renewable energy industry.

The natural resources sector accounted for the majority of the applications, with 478 submissions. Additionally, the oil and petroleum products industry received 265 applications. However, the EMRC rejected five requests in the oil and petroleum products sector.
