Amman: Ammon Applied University College hosted a delegation of European Union ambassadors accredited to Jordan on Monday as part of efforts to strengthen academic and technical cooperation between the college and counterpart institutions across Europe.

According to Jordan News Agency, during the visit, Chairman of the Board of Directors Senator Michel Nazzal and Dean Ameed Hijazin presented the college's specialized programs in hotel management and culinary arts, along with its pioneering initiatives aimed at aligning education and training with labor market demands to empower youth and equip them with skills needed in the tourism and hospitality sectors.

The discussions explored future cooperation opportunities between Ammon College and similar technical and tourism institutions in EU member states, particularly in areas such as academic exchange, practical training, and joint curriculum development. The talks also touched on launching dual-education programs and joint training courses to enhance the professional competencies of students and graduates.

Both sides discussed the potential for launching student exchange programs with international institutions to enrich students' academic and cultural experiences, broaden their career prospects, and support the college's ambition to become a regional hub for knowledge and training in the tourism sector.

The EU ambassadors expressed admiration for the quality of education and training provided at the college and voiced interest in expanding partnerships with leading Jordanian academic institutions to foster greater cultural and knowledge exchange between Jordan and European countries.

At the conclusion of the visit, the ambassadors toured the college's facilities and training hotel, where they were briefed on the educational and practical learning environment offered to students.
