Exports to Syria Surge 341% in 10 Months

Amman: Trade relations between Jordan and Syria recorded notable growth over the last ten months of this year, driven by the resumption of commercial activity and a marked increase in bilateral trade flows.

According to Jordan News Agency, the value of Jordan's national exports to the Syrian market rose to JD 203 million, compared with JD 46 million during the same period last year, representing a significant increase of 341.3 percent. The surge reflects growing Syrian demand for Jordanian products.

As a result, total trade volume between the two countries amounted to JD 278 million during the last ten months of the current year, compared with JD 97 million in the same period last year.
