Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi and Albania’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Olta Xhacka discussed, during a phone call on Tuesday, prospects for developing relations and increasing cooperation between the two countries.

Safadi briefed his counterpart, whose country currently holds a non-permanent seat in the Security Council, on developments in efforts to resolve the Syrian crisis after the Amman and Jeddah meetings and the Arab League’s decision to reinstate Syria’s membership in the league.

Safadi stressed the importance of the new Arab track to resolve the crisis and address its consequences according to a step-by-step methodology and in line with Security Council Resolution 2254.

The two ministers agreed to hold a meeting soon to discuss ways to activate cooperation between Jordan and Albania in various fields.
