Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Ayman Safadi, made a phone call on Thursday with Algerian Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad, Ramtane Lamamra, offering the Kingdom’s condolences over the victims of the forest fires and wishing a speedy recovery to the injured.

Safadi affirmed Jordan’s solidarity with Algeria in facing this “dire” situation, and its readiness to provide all possible support to help deal with the wildfires and their consequences, under His Majesty King Abdullah II’s directives.

During the phone conversation, the two ministers stressed the joint keenness to enhance cooperation in various fields to enhance the “historic, brotherly” relations between the two brotherly countries, according to a foreign Ministry statement.

Safadi and Lamamra also discussed developments in the region, ways to address regional crises, and strengthen joint Arab action frameworks to serve Arab issues and interests.
