FM, D-8 chief meet on fringe of UNGA

Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty met Tuesday with Isiaka Abdulqadir Imam, Secretary General of the D-8 Organization for Economic Cooperation, on the fringe of the high-level debate of the 79th UN General Assembly in New York. Abdelatty thanked Imam for supporting Egypt's presidency of the D-8 as of May 2024 through December 2025. The foreign minister said he is looking forward to boosting cooperation with the D-8 in preparing for a summit in December. He said Egypt, as president of the D-8, gives top priority to enhancing cooperation among member states, especially the economic files. Source: State Information Service Egypt
