Amman, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Ayman Safadi, on Thursday received a phone call from Kazakhstan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mukhtar Tileuberdi, on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of Jordanian-Kazakh diplomatic relations.

During the phone conversation, the two ministers discussed mechanisms to enhance joint cooperation in various fields, especially in the economic, trade and cultural areas, stressing the importance of holding the 5th session of the joint Jordanian-Kazakh committee meetings.

The duo also stressed the necessity of maintaining joint action, consultation and coordination on issues of common concern, as well as cooperation within the framework of international organizations.

Safadi lauded Kazakhstan’s “key” role within the framework of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA).

For his part, Tileuberdi stressed the “deep-rooted” bilateral relations, adding that Jordan is a “significant” partner for Kazakhstan in the Middle East region.
