FM lauds strong ties with Nigeria

Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty has praised strong relations with Nigeria. Abdelatty and his Nigerian counterpart Yusuf Tuggar, in a meeting on the fringe of Tokyo International Conference of African Development (TICAD) in the Japanese capital Monday, stressed the importance of boosting bilateral cooperation, especially in the fields of economy, trade and investment, said Foreign Ministry spokesman Ahmed Abu Zeid. They tackled efforts to enhance the role of the private sector, he added. The top diplomats exchanged views to strengthen peace and security in the continent, Abu Zeid said. He added that Abdelatty assured Tuggar that Egypt will always support the stability and prosperity of African countries. The meeting also took up regional and international files of mutual concern, with focus on the latest developments in the Sahel and West Africa region, Abu Zeid said.
