Madrid: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and Expatriates Affairs is set to attend a crucial meeting organized by Madrid on Sunday. This gathering aims to establish a lasting ceasefire in Gaza and promote the two-state solution as the only path towards a just and comprehensive peace.
According to Jordan News Agency, the meeting is attended by a delegation from the Ministerial Committee appointed by the Extraordinary Joint Arab-Islamic Summit on Gaza. The meeting was convened by Jose Manuel Albares, the Spanish Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Union, and Cooperation. The delegation is led by prominent figures, including His Highness Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar. Other notable attendees include Mohammed Mustafa, the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the State of Palestine, Badr Abdel Ati, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Migration of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, the Secretary-General of the Arab League, and Hussein Ibrahim Taha, the Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. The meeting is also attended by other ministries as well as Arab, European, and non-European officials.
Before the main meeting, Safadi is scheduled to engage in discussions with Jose Manuel Albares to explore ways to enhance bilateral ties and address regional developments. Additionally, Safadi is expected to meet with several of his counterparts to discuss bilateral relations and efforts to develop a unified international stance to halt Israel's actions in Gaza and address the resulting humanitarian crisis.
