Foreign Affairs Committee Hails King’s Visit to China as “Strategic Milestone”

Amman: The Lower House's Foreign Affairs Committee described His Majesty King Abdullah II's visit to China as a "landmark moment" in the strategic partnership between the two countries.

According to Jordan News Agency, the committee praised the King's active diplomatic efforts, noting that his high-level meetings with Chinese leaders reflect Jordan's diplomatic and geopolitical importance. It emphasized that the visit would help boost bilateral trade and attract investment in key sectors, including infrastructure, technology, and energy.

The committee also highlighted the visit's timely role in strengthening political coordination on regional issues, particularly the Palestinian cause. It noted that King Abdullah continues to champion Jordanian and Arab interests on the global stage while leveraging international partnerships to advance the Kingdom's economic development.

Furthermore, the committee called on relevant government institutions to build on the momentum generated by the visit by developing a clear roadmap to translate agreements and understandings reached with China into tangible investment projects.
