Safadi's statement criticized Israel's continued escalation of violence and expansion of illegal settlements, which, he argued, undermines opportunities for peace and pushes the region into further chaos. He also referenced recent announcements by the Israeli Prime Minister regarding new illegal settlement constructions and the blocking of a Palestinian state. Safadi emphasized Jordan's condemnation of this assault and reiterated Jordan's support for Qatar. He affirmed that Jordan and Qatar share a vision of a secure and stable Middle East, built on a just and lasting peace. Safadi highlighted the Arab Peace Initiative and the international community's support for a two-state solution as pathways to peace. He urged the Security Council to use its authority to apply international law, enforce the UN Charter, and pressure Israel to end its aggression in Gaza.
