Foreign ministry hosts meeting on ‘Language and National Identity’

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Emigration, and Egyptian Expatriates hosted a meeting with Dr. Reem Bassiouni, writer and professor of linguistics at the American University in Cairo, under the theme of 'Language and National Identity: The Crystallization of Egyptian Identity at the Beginning of the Twentieth Century.' In a statement released Thursday, the ministry said that the meeting was convened as part of the training programs organized regularly for diplomats by the Diplomatic Corps and Consular Affairs Department.
