Foreign Ministry Secretary General Discusses Aid Efforts with IFRC CEO.

Amman: Ambassador Majid Qatarna, Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign and Expatriates Affairs, met with Jagan Chapagain, the Chief Executive Officer and Secretary General of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), on Thursday. The meeting was also attended by Mohammad Mutlaq al-Hadid, President of the Jordan Red Crescent (JRC). The discussions focused on strengthening the collaboration between Jordan and the federation. According to Jordan News Agency, Qatarna expressed appreciation for the existing cooperation between Jordan and the IFRC, particularly highlighting the federation's role in dispatching aid to the Gaza Strip amid its ongoing humanitarian crisis. He emphasized the importance of the federation's contributions in delivering aid during periods of disaster, crisis, and conflict. Chapagain commended Jordan for its commitment to international humanitarian law and acknowledged the Kingdom's ongoing efforts, led by His Majesty King Abdullah II, to provide c ontinuous humanitarian support to Gaza. This support is facilitated through the Jordanian air bridge and land humanitarian corridor, showcasing Jordan's dedication to aiding those in dire need.
