Amman: The 33rd edition of the Fuheis Festival - Jordan History and Civilization wrapped up its activities on Monday. The festival, spanning six days, featured a range of artistic, cultural, and heritage events that attracted a significant audience from various governorates across the Kingdom, as well as official, media, and artistic figures.
According to Jordan News Agency, the festival's executive director, Ayman Samawi, praised the success of this year's event in a statement released on Tuesday. He acknowledged the enthusiastic interaction of the public, sponsors, and media with the festival's activities. Samawi emphasized the festival's ongoing mission under its enduring slogan: "Jordan: History and Civilization," aiming to showcase Jordanian culture, thought, and heritage, while highlighting achievements of national figures.
Throughout the event, attendees enjoyed a diverse program that included musical performances, seminars, cultural dialogues, heritage and folklore events, and special programs for children. The festival also honored several Jordanian figures, recognizing their careers and contributions to the nation's cultural landscape.
The evening events on the main stage culminated in a concert featuring singers Subhi Tawfiq and Firas Ta'imah. Their performances of classical and folk songs captivated a large audience, who responded with enthusiasm. Meanwhile, the children's program concluded with a traditional Dabke dance performance by young participants from Zaha Cultural Center, delighting attendees and celebrating Jordan's rich cultural heritage.
