Amman: Gasoline prices in the region are set for a modest decrease in December, as announced by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources' Oil Derivatives Pricing Committee. The committee's decision, revealed on Saturday, includes minor adjustments to the pricing of gasoline, while maintaining the current prices for kerosene and increasing the cost of diesel. According to Jordan News Agency, the committee has set the new selling price for 90-octane gasoline at JD0.860 per liter, down from JD0.865. Similarly, 95-octane gasoline will now cost JD1,105 per liter, a slight decrease from the previous price of JD1,110. However, the price of diesel will rise slightly to JD0.680 per liter from JD0.675, while kerosene will remain steady at JD0.620 per liter. The cost for a 12.5kg cooking gas cylinder will also stay unchanged at JD7.00. The committee reached this decision during its monthly meeting, where it reviews global oil price trends from November to set the local prices for the coming month. The review highl ighted that the benchmark Brent crude price stood at approximately $74.5 per barrel in November, showing a decrease from $75.8 per barrel in October.
