Gazans: Jordan has become a ‘source of hope’ for medical treatment as they arrived in the country on Wednesday, forming the 11th batch of the Jordanian humanitarian medical corridor for Gaza’s sick and injured. The corridor is aimed at addressing illnesses and injuries resulting from Israeli aggression.

According to Jordan News Agency, Gazans expressed appreciation for Jordan’s supportive stance towards the Palestinian people. They noted that the Kingdom’s efforts have positively impacted their psychological state, which has been affected by the war, destruction, shortages of food and medicine, and the loss of loved ones.

In a reception hall for Gazan patients and the injured, 13-year-old Leen Ziada took a commemorative picture next to a photo of the King, demonstrating gratitude for Jordan’s support. Leen’s mother shared her relief at arriving in Jordan, where her daughter would receive treatment for a broken foot caused by Israeli shelling, emphasizing their trust in Jordanian medical personnel.

Falak Kahlout, accompanying her 9-year-old son Mohammed, stated that her spirits were lifted upon entering Jordan, bringing hope for her son’s recovery with the help of Jordanian medical teams. The mother of 17-year-old Saif, a cancer patient, mentioned that the Jordanian medical corridor brings hope to many in Gaza, offering relief from their suffering.

On Wednesday, the Jordanian Armed Forces evacuated the eleventh batch of children from the Gaza Strip, which included 21 patients and 47 companions. This operation is part of the “Jordanian Medical Corridor” initiative, facilitating medical treatment in Jordanian hospitals in coordination with the Ministry of Health and the World Health Organization.

This initiative underscores Jordan’s ongoing efforts and steadfast commitment, led by His Majesty King Abdullah II, to support the people of Gaza on humanitarian and medical fronts.
