Gaza: At least 53,573 Palestinians have been killed in Israel's ongoing war since October 2023, the Health Ministry reported on Tuesday. A ministry statement indicated that 87 bodies were brought to hospitals in the last 24 hours, while 290 people were injured, increasing the number of injuries to 121,688 due to the Israeli onslaught. The statement added that many victims remain trapped under rubble and on roads, as rescuers face difficulties reaching them.
According to Anadolu Agency, the Israeli army resumed its assaults on the Gaza Strip on March 18, resulting in 3,427 deaths and 9,647 injuries, disrupting a ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement established in January. Last November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, citing war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza. Additionally, Israel is facing a genocide case at the International Court of Justice related to its actions in the enclave.
