Gaza: Hospitals in the Gaza Strip received 29 bodies, including 4 who were newly killed by Israeli fire and 25 pulled from the rubble, as well as 8 wounded people, in the last 48 hours, according to the Gaza Health Ministry. It said many victims were still under the rubble and on roads, inaccessible by civil defense teams and ambulances.
According to Jordan News Agency, the latest casualties raised to 414 the death toll since a ceasefire took hold on November 11, and the number of injured climbed to 1,142, according to the ministry's figures. The report indicated that the ongoing conflict has significantly impacted the region's infrastructure and emergency response capabilities.
That took to 71,266 the death toll from the Israeli aggression, which began on October 7, 2023, and the total number of injured people to 171,219, it added. The continuous violence has led to a humanitarian crisis, with many residents facing challenges in accessing medical care and basic necessities.
