Gaza strip: Some 113 Palestinians were killed and 304 injured in Israeli bombings across the Gaza Strip in the past 24 hours, the Gaza Health Ministry said Wednesday.
According to Jordan News Agency, this brings the death toll from Israel's aggression, which began on October 7, 2023, to 63,746, with the total number of injuries reaching 161,245, as reported by the ministry in its daily update.
The Government Media Office in Gaza stated that Israel is denying Gaza children access to a new school for the third consecutive year. This action was described as "a systematic crime and cultural and educational genocide," impacting more than 785,000 students and 25,000 teachers.
The office further reported that over 95 percent of Gaza's schools were directly hit during Israel's war, with more than 90 percent requiring reconstruction or rehabilitation. It detailed that 662 school buildings were directly struck, and another 116 sustained damage.
Additionally, the office highlighted that Israel has conducted attacks against Gaza's educational system, resulting in the deaths of 13,500 students, 830 teachers and education workers, along with 193 scientists, academics, and researchers. These actions were described as part of a systematic campaign that grossly violates international humanitarian law, the Geneva Conventions, and child rights treaties.
