Riyadh: The Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Jassim Al-Budaiwi, strongly condemned the Israeli occupation forces' aggression against Gaza, denouncing the resumption of attacks since dawn as a grave violation of the ceasefire agreement.
According to Jordan News Agency, Al-Budaiwi stated that this escalation constitutes a blatant violation of international treaties and agreements, posing a serious threat to regional security and stability while undermining efforts aimed at de-escalation.
He urged the international community to fulfill its responsibilities by pressuring Israel to halt its brutal aggression.
The GCC reaffirmed its full and unwavering solidarity with the Palestinian people, emphasizing the urgent need for a comprehensive and just resolution to the Palestinian issue, based on the two-state solution with a sovereign Palestinian state along the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
