Gold Medal Secured for Jordan at Singapore U17 Squash Event

Amman: Jordanian squash player Osama Al-Battayneh claimed the gold medal after finishing first at the Singapore International Open Squash Championship (Under 17), delivering an outstanding performance against a highly competitive international field.

According to Jordan News Agency, Al-Battayneh secured the title in a tournament that attracted more than 400 players from 21 countries, defeating Malaysia's top seed Mohamed Haikal Syaruddin 3-1 in Sunday's final.

The Jordanian player advanced to the final with a dominant run, recording straight-games victories over Malaysia's Ahmad Shafizli and Arian Thandal, as well as Singapore's Rehan Singh, before overcoming India's second seed Hirdan Shah 3-1 in the semifinals.

The victory marks a significant achievement for Al-Battayneh and reflects the continued progress of Jordanian squash at the youth level on the international stage.
