IRBID: In a recent announcement in Irbid, key ministers from the Government Communication, Economic Affairs, and Health sectors outlined significant Cabinet decisions impacting healthcare and housing. According to Jordan News Agency, Health Minister Hawari revealed the Cabinet's approval for establishing three new health centers. These include the Sal Comprehensive Health Center in Irbid, Al-Shafa (Al-Hashimiya) Comprehensive Health Center, and Halawa Al Awwali Health Center in Ajloun. The establishment of these centers aligns with government-approved criteria for hospital and health center creation. The Health Ministry is committed to staffing these centers with qualified medical personnel, modernizing drug warehouses across the Kingdom, and setting up quality centers of excellence to enhance health services. In economic affairs, Minister Muhannad Shehadeh announced two Cabinet decisions aimed at revitalizing the real estate and housing sector under the Economic Modernization Vision (EMV). Key decisions i nclude a 50 percent reduction in registration fees for residential apartments over 150 square meters. Additionally, first-time apartment buyers are fully exempt from registration fees for apartments under 150 square meters. Residential apartments will also benefit from a 50 percent reduction in property fees for three years for first-time buyers, alleviating financial burdens on citizens purchasing homes. Shehadeh emphasized the importance of these measures as part of broader incentives for economic sectors under the EMV, highlighting the real estate sector's role in driving national economic growth and its interconnection with 44 other sectors. The real estate incentives are also expected to have positive social impacts, particularly for young people and families purchasing homes for the first time. Furthermore, the government has recently introduced additional financial incentives, including exemptions from fines for taxpayers with claims at the Public Treasury Directorate until the year-end. Tax cases wi th final court decisions can now be settled even if the owed amount exceeds JD1 million. Customs cases can receive up to 90 percent fine exemptions, enhancing economic relief measures.
