Gulf Council Condemns Iranian Attacks on Bahrain, Kuwait

Amman: The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) denounced Iranian attacks on Bahrain and Kuwait carried out using ballistic missiles and drones.

According to Jordan News Agency, in a statement issued Sunday, GCC Secretary-General Jasem AlBudaiwi said the attacks posed a "direct threat" to the security, stability, and safety of citizens and residents in Bahrain and Kuwait and constituted a clear violation of international law and the UN Charter.

AlBudaiwi stated that the attacks occurred despite ongoing regional and international efforts to promote security and peace and resolve the crisis, adding that their continuation undermines those efforts.

He reaffirmed the GCC's support for all measures taken by Bahrain and Kuwait to strengthen their security, safeguard their sovereignty, and protect their citizens and residents.
