The meeting focused on developmental issues under the ministry's purview, particularly the maintenance of roads, with a specific emphasis on the international highway of Dahr El-Baydar in the Bekaa region. Minister Hamieh highlighted that the Ministry of Public Works and Transport has prioritized the rehabilitation and maintenance of international highways across various Lebanese regions, with Dahr El-Baydar being a key focus. The Minister further announced that the rehabilitation and maintenance work on this critical route would commence next Friday. 'The project has been fully prepared and awarded in accordance with legal procedures, with the necessary approvals from the Court of Audit now secured,' Hamieh added, emphasizing the urgency of beginning the work, which is scheduled to start promptly on the specified date.
