Harris: Some progress has been made in reaching a ceasefire agreement in Gaza

US Vice President Kamala Harris confirmed that some progress has been made in reaching a ceasefire agreement in Gaza, adding that it is "meaningless" unless an agreement is actually reached.

Harris added during a television interview that will be broadcast in full later: "We must reach a ceasefire and an agreement on the hostages as soon as possible."

The White House has confirmed in recent days that it will continue to work to reach a ceasefire agreement in Gaza, and return the hostages to their homes, and will continue to pressure the Israeli government and Arab leaders to achieve these goals.
