Helsinki: Hashemite University (HU) engaged in discussions about potential joint cooperation with a delegation from the Finnish University of Helsinki under the European Union's Erasmus+ program. The primary focus of these discussions was to enhance academic and research exchange, build capacity, and advance sustainable development goals.

According to Jordan News Agency, the HU Vice President, Dr. Khaled Abu Teen, emphasized the importance of fostering international partnerships to enhance knowledge exchange and strengthen institutional capacity. Dr. Mohammad Alzeer, representing the University of Helsinki, acknowledged the academic advancements made by HU and underscored the significance of sustained institutional collaboration.

In a separate initiative, HU launched the "University Library Cultural Week," which will run until July 24. This event includes a book fair, professional lectures on digital transformation in libraries, services for archiving national heritage, and presentations from collaborating publishing houses. During the inauguration, HU's President, Dr. Khaled Hiyari, advocated for cultivating a research and reading culture driven by students and encouraged openness to global experiences across various fields of knowledge.
