Amman: The Hashemite Fund for the Development of the Jordan Badia and the Good Neighbors International Organization have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to promote sustainable development initiatives across the Badia region. This agreement, signed by Ahmad Owaidat, Director of the Hashemite Fund, and Seung Jin An, Country Representative for Good Neighbors, aims to address key sectors such as education, health, poverty reduction, entrepreneurship, and social empowerment through a series of targeted projects.
According to Jordan News Agency, the partnership will focus on enhancing community resilience by implementing initiatives that include vocational training, infrastructure improvement, and employment creation, especially for youth and women. These efforts are designed to elevate living standards and offer economic opportunities in the region.
Owaidat emphasized the fund's dedication to fostering sustainable development in the Badia, highlighting that international collaboration plays a crucial role in launching projects that have a meaningful impact on the community. He noted that such partnerships are instrumental in improving the quality of life and economic prospects for residents.
Jin An expressed Good Neighbors' eagerness to deepen cooperation with the Hashemite Fund, stating that the agreement signifies a mutual commitment to advancing community-driven projects in vital areas like health and education. Both parties are set to work together in exchanging data, conducting needs assessments, and pinpointing projects that promise the highest developmental impact.
