Hassan Reviews Efforts to Mitigate Weather-Related Damage

Amman: Prime Minister Jaafar Hassan on Wednesday convened a meeting at the Prime Ministry to assess the actions taken by authorities to address weather-related damage in multiple areas from the week before last. During the session, Hassan emphasized the importance of public awareness and guidance, urging authorities to provide Jordanians with accurate information and continuous updates during weather events, while also maintaining ongoing warnings about flash flood risks.

According to Jordan News Agency, Hassan advised the public to steer clear of flood-prone areas to protect lives, homes, and property, particularly during atypical weather conditions. He also stressed the necessity for sustained coordination among joint operations rooms and field teams to effectively respond to anticipated weather conditions throughout the season, as well as the continuous repair of damaged sites.

The meeting saw participation from the ministers of local administration, public works and housing, government communication, and interior, along with the head of the Greater Amman Municipality Committee and the director of Public Security.
