Health Minister Orders Intensified Action To Implement Directives Of Political Leadership

Health Minister Dr Khaled Abdel Ghaffar urged on Wednesday 10/7/2024 intensified cooperation among the different departments to implement directives of the political leadership aiming at boosting the health system in Egypt. A state strategy has been designed to achieve health security and lift the burden off patients' shoulders, Abdel Ghaffar said in a meeting with senior Ministry officials earlier today. Health Ministry spokesman Dr Hossam Abdel Ghaffar said the minister ordered increased periodical field visits to health facilities to get firsthand information about the medical services. The minister also underscored the need to carefully select human cadres that are qualified to assist the medical staff and achieve healthcare sustainability, the spokesman said. A clear mechanism of action is needed to ease the procedures for all citizens seeking services from the different departments of the Health Ministry, the minister stressed.
