Sustainable Development Minister Noor bint Ali Al Khulaif stressed strong relations and strategic partnership binding the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Republic of South Korea.
In a statement today, she stressed the importance of continuing exchanged official visits between the two countries to achieve shared visions that support sustainable development goals.
She made the statement during her official visit to the Republic of South Korea, in conjunction with the visit of a high-level business delegation led by the Minister of Industry and Commerce Abdullah bin Adel Fakhro.
She held a meeting with Ambassador of the World Travel and Tourism Council and Chair of the Sustainable Tourism Foundation for Poverty Eradication of the World Tourism Organization Do Young Shim,
They discussed the importance of sustainable tourism as one of the most important economic pillars, in addition to discussing the impact of the Corona pandemic (Covid-19) on sustainability in the tourism sector.
During the meeting, Al-Khulaif touched on the successful experiences of the Kingdom of Bahrain in the field of sustainable tourism.
The minister also reviewed the tourism strategy for the Kingdom of Bahrain 2022-2026 as part of the economic recovery plan.
