Higher Education Minister Ayman Ashour has praised good ties between Egypt and the UK, particularly in the field of higher education and scientific research. In a meeting with a delegation of Britain's Times Higher Education (THE), Ashour talked about ways to enhance the ranking of Egyptian universities at the international level. Ashour, in a statement Sunday, underscored progress achieved by Egyptian universities in global rankings. Thirty-five Egyptian universities have been included in the THE's Young University Rankings 2024, with seven new universities on the year before, according to the statement. Such progress reflects the successful measures taken by the Ministry and the Egyptian Knowledge Bank (EKB) to upgrade the ranking of Egyptian universities, it noted.
