Amman: The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research announced that decisions regarding postponing classes or transitioning to an e-learning system are to be made by university presidents, based on their specific situations.
According to Jordan News Agency, the ministry's spokesperson, Muhannad Al-Khatib, highlighted that universities possess the legal flexibility to make decisions that ensure the safety of students, faculty, and staff, aligning with the weather conditions affecting each university.
Al-Khatib emphasized the significance of students relying on their universities' official websites and verified social media channels for accurate information concerning class schedules and teaching methods.
The ministry also advised students to exercise caution during their commutes and to be prepared for potential shifts to distance learning by ensuring that electronic platforms and university accounts are set up to facilitate uninterrupted educational processes amid the ongoing weather depression affecting the kingdom.
Furthermore, the ministry reiterated the need for adherence to instructions from competent authorities, emphasizing student safety as a priority, and extended wishes for everyone's safety and well-being during these weather conditions.
