Highway Patrol Department Urges Motorists for Caution in Areas Hit by Extreme Weather

Amman: The Highway Patrol Department has issued a warning to motorists traveling through the southern and eastern regions of the Kingdom, urging them to exercise extra caution due to extreme weather conditions exacerbated by an ongoing heatwave.

According to Jordan News Agency, the department highlighted that areas such as the Al-Omari border with Saudi Arabia and the eastern Ruwaished region are currently experiencing dust storms and gusty winds, significantly reducing visibility to nearly 50 meters. Motorists are advised to exercise the utmost caution while driving in these conditions.

Additionally, the department reported that the regions of Al-Jafr and Al-Azraq are encountering scattered rainfall, further complicating driving conditions. Drivers are urged to adhere to safety instructions to ensure their safety and that of other road users.
