House Speaker Stands Firm Against Displacement of Palestinians, Supports King’s Leadership

Amman: On the anniversary of Allegiance and Loyalty Day, Lower House Speaker Ahmad Safadi declared, "We in the Lower House affirm our standing as one behind His Majesty the King, our army, and our security bodies, rejecting any attempts to displace our Palestinian brothers." Safadi highlighted the significance of Allegiance and Loyalty Day, which is observed tomorrow, urging citizens to work diligently for Jordan's advancement and to uphold the unity demonstrated under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II.

According to Jordan News Agency, Safadi praised King Abdullah II for bolstering Jordan's strength and stability by adhering to the path and strategy of the late King Hussein bin Talal. He noted that Jordan has emerged as a regional exemplar of a robust state rooted in principles such as harmony, tolerance, the rule of law, and the stability of its democratic processes.

Safadi further stated that, since assuming his constitutional responsibilities, His Majesty the King has committed to achieving comprehensive development across various sectors. He pointed to the successful election of the twentieth House of Representatives as a milestone in the political track, which was conducted under party rules that enhance the involvement of women and youth. Safadi also mentioned ongoing efforts to realize the outcomes of economic and administrative modernization initiatives.

Emphasizing Jordan's consistent stance on national issues, especially the Palestinian cause, Safadi underscored that under King Abdullah II's leadership, the country has maintained its commitment. The King has consistently upheld the Hashemite Custodianship of Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem and has actively supported the people in the Gaza Strip amid adversities. Safadi assured that with the backing of the entire populace, the King remains steadfast in opposing any displacement proposals.
