Housing Min. Meets Belarusian Ambassador

Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities Minister Sherif El Sherbini welcomed Belarusian Ambassador Sergey Terentiev at the Ministry of Housing in the New Administrative Capital to congratulate him on taking over the housing portfolio and to discuss cooperative efforts between the two nations. Attendees included Dr. Abdel Khalek Ibrahim, Assistant Minister for Technical Affairs, and Ambassador Hassan Al-Laithy, the Ministry's International Cooperation Advisor. The Minister highlighted previous preparatory meetings focused on infrastructure, particularly drinking water and sanitation, to leverage Belarusian expertise. He emphasized the importance of enhancing water and sanitation projects, which have significantly advanced since 2014, and the goal to attract international experts and companies to improve these services. Additionally, discussions covered collaboration in housing and new cities, reflecting Egypt's current progress in integrated urban development, sharing experiences in providing affordable ho using, and guiding the construction sector in adopting modern technologies to lower costs for subsidized units.
