Human rights center holds occupation responsible for death of Palestinian physician

The Al Mezan Center for Human Rights held the Israeli occupation authorities responsible for the death of detained physician Ziad al-Dalou from the Gaza Strip, calling for an investigation into the circumstances of the death. The new death occurs as the occupation authorities' brutal treatment of Palestinian detainees in Israeli prisons continues to ramp up, and according to information gathered by the center and statements made by the Palestinian Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip, the doctor, who had been detained in the occupation prisons since March 18, passed away without given a clear cause of death, the center said in a statement on Wednesday. The center demanded that an inquiry committee be established in order to ascertain the facts behind the doctor's passing. It also called upon the international community to fulfill its moral and legal obligations with regard to the continuous act of genocide occurring in the Gaza Strip. Source: Jordan News Agency
