Amman: The Independent Election Commission (IEC) has opened nominations for the 2026 elections of the boards of directors of the Chambers of Industry and representatives of industrial sectors, ahead of the vote scheduled for Oct. 3.
According to Jordan News Agency, the IEC announced that candidates interested in joining the boards of directors or representing industrial sectors can submit their applications at the respective Chambers of Industry during official working hours. The submission period will commence on Wednesday and will close at 2 p.m. on Sept. 9. Nomination forms have been made accessible through the commission's website.
These elections are being organized in accordance with the Chambers of Industry Law No. 56 of 2005 and its implementing regulations. The IEC Board of Commissioners had earlier designated Saturday, Oct. 3, as the official election date for these positions within the Chambers of Industry.
