IEC Publishes Jordan’s Updated Voter Lists


Amman: Independent Election Commission (IEC) on Sunday posted the updated voter lists on its website, based on permanent residence until June 30.



According to Jordan News Agency, the announcement comes in accordance with the provisions of the House of Representatives Election Law No. (4) of 2022 and its amendments. Released in coordination with the Civil Status and Passports Department (CSPD), the IEC added that the step also comes in accordance with the Kingdom’s electoral district division system.



Under Article (7-A-2) of the Lower House of Representatives Election Law No. (4) of 2022 and its amendments, the commission must update voter lists using any appropriate procedures, in coordination with the CSPD, at the beginning of January and July of each year.



The IEC called on voters to inquire about their electoral district by visiting its website.
