Cairo: Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply, Yarub Qudah, headed the Jordanian delegation to the ministerial meetings of the Arab Economic and Social Council, held at the Arab League headquarters in Cairo. The delegation included Jordanian Ambassador to Cairo, Amjad Adaileh, and the Ministry's Secretary-General, Dana Zoubi.
According to Jordan News Agency, the council discussed several issues aimed at enhancing inter-Arab cooperation in various fields, particularly focusing on economic areas. The council also worked on developing the free trade agreement to align with current economic developments and challenges.
The meetings addressed mechanisms for effectively utilizing the opportunities and capabilities available in the Arab region to achieve integration in certain economic sectors. On the sidelines, Qudah engaged in discussions with Iraqi Minister of Trade, Athir Daoud Salman, and Palestinian Minister of National Economy, Mohammed Alamour, to explore areas of joint economic cooperation.
