Industry Ministry Acknowledges Energy Committee for Gas Heater Safety Initiatives

Amman: The Ministry of Industry, Trade and Supply extended its gratitude to the Lower House's Energy Committee, under the leadership of Chairman Ayman Abu Haniyeh, for their proactive involvement in addressing safety concerns related to gas heaters known as "Shamousa" heaters. The ministry applauded the committee for its crucial recommendations and diligent oversight of the safety procedures implemented to protect public safety.

According to Jordan News Agency, the ministry has embraced the comprehensive set of recommendations put forth by the parliamentary Energy Committee. These recommendations are anticipated to significantly enhance the safety framework by ensuring that gas heaters meet the highest specifications. This includes adhering to mandatory conditions for their sale and use by citizens and prohibiting the production, sale, and distribution of models that may pose safety risks.

The ministry emphasized that its response to the committee's recommendations, through a series of newly implemented decisions and measures, is part of a collaborative effort between the government and the House of Representatives. This cooperation aims to advance the public interest and ensure the safety and well-being of the community.
