Amman: The Ministry of Interior Monday announced a series of measures and decisions it took during the month of March to enhance the security and public service system.

According to Jordan News Agency, among these measures, 488 administrative detainees, who were not a threat to security and public order, were released in a review of administrative procedures that balance the rule of law and protecting rights.

The ministry also carried out an electronic link of the military service document in cooperation with the General Command of the Jordan Armed Forces, after it was launched on March 24, 2025. This initiative is aimed at easing procedures for its issuance and linking it to government services.

In addition, the ministry endorsed the amended residency and foreigners' affairs law No. (2) of 2025 to enhance controls on the entry and residence of foreigners in the Kingdom.

The Ministry has also announced executive orders to facilitate the return of Syrian refugees to their country in coordination with relevant authorities, ensuring their voluntary and safe homecoming.
