Amman: An investment, energy, and finance conference, organized by the Iraqi Business Council in partnership with the Jordan and Amman Chambers of Industry, the International Finance Corporation, and the Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency, opens in Amman on Sunday. The event will bring together key stakeholders to discuss opportunities in investment, finance, and digital transformation.
According to Jordan News Agency, the "Investment, Renewable Energy and Finance.. Towards a Sustainable Digital Future" conference will see participation from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the Association of Private Iraqi Banks, the Federation of Arab Businessmen, as well as local and international economic institutions and Libyan businessmen. The conference aims to highlight promising sectors such as finance and banking, industry, mining, renewable energy, and communications and information technology.
The one-day event serves as a platform for direct communication among companies, representatives of strategic projects, and financial institutions. Organizers have emphasized the conference as a key opportunity for expanding businesses to access regional markets. The gathering will be attended by notable figures including Iraqi Minister of Industry and Minerals Khaled Battal, Iraqi Central Bank Governor Ali Al-Alaq, a delegation from Iraq's Ministry of Electricity, and representatives of the Jordanian and Iraqi financial and banking sectors.
The Iraqi Business Council in Amman, established in 2006, aims to exchange ideas and trade information, provide job opportunities through trade and social missions, and explore investment opportunities in Jordan and Iraq.
