Iran: Our right to self-defense has nothing to do with Gaza ceasefire

The Islamic Republic of Iran's representation at the United Nations confirmed that Iran has the right to legitimate defense, as its security and sovereignty were violated in the recent terrorist act carried out by the Israeli entity," stressing that this has nothing to do with the ceasefire in Gaza. The representation explained, according to the Iranian News Agency "IRNA" regarding what is being raised about the possibility of delaying the response until the round of negotiations next week, that the response will be in a way that does not harm the potential ceasefire in the Gaza Strip. It added, "Reaching a ceasefire in Gaza is our priority, and any agreement accepted by Hamas will be acceptable to us." The Iranian representation at the United Nations indicated that there are permanent official intermediary channels to convey messages between Tehran and Washington, and "both parties prefer to keep the details confidential."
